Levi was struggling in the CSPCA and they asked could we take him into our care.
Levi has settled well into the kennels and has been easy to look after. He is 25 inches high and will be 4 in May although that is an estimate as he was a stray originally.
He was quite shy when he first arrived and even now I think there’s more personality to come out. He’s very playful one on one with me, loves a ball being thrown. He has been mixed with male and female dogs and has been perfect with both. He has no concept of personal space and is straight up to all dogs so that would need to be considered for future homes and introducing new dogs , he just wants to be friends immediately. I also thinks he forgets he’s a big boy as he can be a little bit rough to play with others when first introduced but settles quickly . He’s immaculate in kennels so I’m thinking he must of had some time in a house at some stage. He’s very friendly and affectionate but loud noises or a sudden noise can scare him so he just needs more time to build his confidence. Older children only as he could knock a small child and he’s a little bit nervous. He wouldn’t need to live with another dog either. Reactive to cats here. He’s good with small dogs and seems to just want to play but due to his size and rough play would only home to larger dogs but he is perfect to walk against little dogs on lead. Has a lot of love to give someone and is definitely ready for a home of his own to fully thrive in.
As he is a little nervous a home in a rural or country area would suit him better than the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city.
Levi is fully vaccinated including kennel cough, chipped and neutered.
Home visit and Adoption fee applies.
Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dogs and if applicable bring their own dog with them
