Henry has settled in really quick after spending months in the pound. He’s an easy boy to look after.
Henry is an affectionate, happy go lucky dog who loves following you around the house, making sure he does not miss what you are doing. Henry is smart and a very quick learner, so he's staying a few inches further away now, to make sure that no more stumbling over him happens.
He loves getting praised when showing off what he has learned, knows exactly when doing something the "right way" and waits for your "well done, good boy" and a cuddle.
Crate training is work in progress, it's not his favourite place to be. Henry prefers chilling out and sleeping with his foster sister and brother.
I would say Henry is 99% toilet trained as long as you follow a routine. He had only one accident and that was the day he arrived however, it was my own fault as I missed his way of telling me he needs to go out.
He is a gentleman on a lead. He’s great with small dogs too. I do think he would prefer to live with some company as he has some seperation anexity. He does have a high prey drive I would be very surprised if he could live with a cat but I have been wrong about nearly every dog this year 🙈 he is a loving boy ready to find his forever home and so far hasn’t shown any quirks. The pound have estimated he is 5 years old but he possibly is younger, it is hard to guess an age when a dog has no history.
Henry is neutered and vaccinated incl kennel cough, chipped, wormed and de flead.
Home visit and adoption fee applies.
Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dogs and if applicable bring their own dog with them.
