Marley is a friendly boy who needs a forever home.
Marley is an active and friendly older boy who would love a forever home, but please read the full description before applying and if you have any questions then ask me. Marley came into our care from the dog pound, after he found himself there when his beloved owner passed away. He has been used to being a pampered pooch with just his elderly owner, as a result Marley has been displaying some behavioural issues when adopted. Marley is super friendly with people when outside and loves attention, but inside the home he likes his own space and can be snappy if you try to invade his space. We can cover the costs of a trainer, if anyone is willing to give him a chance. In our home he doesnt display these behaviours, as we have him under strict rules. He isnt allowed on our sofas etc. He has a crate of his own for night time sleeping and he has his own bed and area that is all his. If we need him to move we use treats or keep a lead on him for easy moving without having to grab his collar etc. He loves going for long walks and walks really well. He can socialise with female dogs outside of the home, but cant share his home with another dog due to the resource guarding inside the home. He is fully house trained and loves snoozing after a long walk. He loves playing fetch and is very active for an elderly dog. He just needs an adult only home, who is willing to put it in the work or put in place very strict rules for him to follow to avoid his guarding behaviours.
